I currently work in the life insurance industry and I am still shy but that is something I have to overcome. 

@Rich Weese  Great strategy, i don't think I've heard that one before but definitely can over come objection in a certain scenario!

In my opinion a one time flood especially the Harvey flood would be much easier to overcome than a property that has gone through several floods.

How did you overcome it?

I am current with all payments, however my goal is to overcome the steady rat race and look into long term financial freedom.

Get your financing looked at, see what's even possible and what obstacles could be overcome creatively or with some hard work.With that said, feel free to reach out whenever to chat. 

Nothing that can't be overcome, but REO's will usually take just a little bit longer - maybe 2 or 3 days more than a traditional search & underwrite. 

This is an obstacle no one can overcome.

Do any of you who may have more experience have advice or recommendations on how I can overcome this huge starting hurtle?
