I looking to get into a house hacking deal in ny. As

In Upstate NY, as mentioned, we are dealing with the same overreaches.I, personally, am not having problems with rents coming in right now. 

This allows the young professional community to live in Philly and easily commute to NY, a phenomenon that is already happening.

I also wanted to invest fairly local and do the work myself.For me that area has been one of several small cities in the southern tier of NY. A

(Looks like Allentown is as far west from NY as we would like to travel).Any advice on specific towns to look into or stay away from would be greatly appreciated.If you are a REA we would love to chat to learn more!

I would like to hear some opinions from others who own rental properties or who have experience dealing with real estate in NY, as I am not the most familiar in this area.

hi @Josue Garcia, interesting that you invested in upstate NY, as I was thinking to start there as well however after reading a few more post about the Market in upstate NY, I decided I will try it but not as my first investment for personal reasons.
