In my area, most illegals live in trashed-out rentals with multi-generational family members or co-workers, so I doubt the housing market will be greatly impacted, at least not in my region.

There is life stages to investing, and the math is clear that strategic debt use, strategic leverage, pyramiding, appreciation, is the wealth generator. 

Don't get me started on this generation.

The property was sold on 9/13/2024 for $155,000, generating a significant profit.

When Columbus sailed, there cities were old and had long addressed housing issues generations before. 

During this time you are not generating any return from the money invested in the ADU.

Now this is an annual thing (for all new properties).For rough math, you can generate a tax write off about 15-20% of the real estate value: one a million you can expect a $150k to 200k write-offs.

I like the idea of STR as it seems like it can generate significantly more income than LTR and would allow me to block out dates if I have friends or family come visit.
