Can't imagine my grandparents filing bankruptcy once, even though they endured the Great Depression, more less multiple times!

I'm an endurance runner and regularly run 15+ miles on Saturdays and Sundays, so I think I'll run different neighborhoods and see what's out there.

As others stated this will only hurt the tenant as they will have much more limited rental opportunities and have to endure much more scrutiny in getting a safe place to rent. 

The only challenge endured during this property was the decision to either keep the existing 2 story structure or add a 3rd story.

Also, in the following months, foreclosures are expected to surface and exhausted landlords who endured non-paying tenants are expected to sell. 

As far as building practices go by the era's, 60's were decent, 70's is when things started to go into the garbage and 80's is considered "THE" era of shoddy horrible construction as it was the perfect storm of sub-par materials and sub-par workmanship with no thought of endurance and performance. 

Let's say you do fight it and the one that backed out ended up becoming the landlord, can you imagine what your clients would possibly endure getting anything repaired?

It's a good children's story but doesn't match reality because it only presents two possible options: a tortoise that is slow and steady, or a rabbit with speed but no endurance.

While you aren't producing any cash flow, you are living there for relatively cheap.Realistically, there is no formula that can tell you what you should do because house hacking truly depends on your comfort level and what you are willing to endure to lower your living expenses or produce cash flow.
