NIMBY (not in my back yard) says people don't want to live next to an eyesore or other unpleasant situation, so the presence of a homeless camp is considered a negative in terms of driving down property values.

I plan to have my online presence personalized and finalized within the next two weeks (still waiting on my LLC to be filed).

I agree to the F area with heavy gang presence.

Good thing is lot of tech companies see the talent pool in Austin and they are trying to build their presence here.

Their junk is beginning to spill into my property’s yard, and the neighbors themselves have been loitering in my yard at times during the day and “scaring the wife” with their presence.

Over the past 18 - 24 months, Legal Aid has significantly ramped-up their presence in the courthouse (I mean they literally have tables and attorneys in the courthouse to help tenants on the fly) and they are getting much more aggressive legislatively. 

I think the key is relationship and keep a presence in order to let your tenants know that you are not only interested in them, but you are also wanting to keep your unit/s clean and tidy. 

It’s not that it can’t happen you do have to have a daily presence there somehow either yourself or someone you trust that know the area and ways in which things work.

2020 Goals:- Buy first property with an owner occupied loan- Rent out extra rooms to good, qualified renters- Build presence on bigger pockets, and in real estate as a whole- Explore opportunities for private lending for additional rental or flip!
