Eviciting someone with any kind of handicap, metal or physical, for something other than non-payment of rent is very difficult.

@Shawn Westbrook I think I just deleted my first reply but basically I recommend an 18 gauge Brad nailer with a narrow tip that can shoot 2” nails and a grinder with a metal cut off wheel!

This will probably take a few hours and you can't have any wood or metal touch the carpet. or you could spend a few days cutting small fibers out and have a bald spot in the carpet. either way charge them accordingly.hope this Helps,R

So, in that case, I went ahead and purchased/installed a metal security door over the existing door to alleviate their concerns.
