I already knew some things were not right and told her to to not clean the carpets and just pay me the 100 dollars it would have cost to clean them since I was going to replace them because they were dirty and worn out.I did some checking and found out this carpet was only 4 years old and a mid grade carpet at that.

If you think it is a reasonable request it will be easier to get it than if you can't see why someone would want to to do that.

You should be able to see short/sale and for sale by bank postings on the MLS(MLS equivalent).You may want to reach out to an agent that specializes in foreclosure listings or an agent who banks go to to list their foreclosures.
