The best part is the steadily climbing prices right now that just build your equity making the investment that much better.

IMO, I don't think Windsor is so dependent on the auto industry anymore, as hits from closures have already happened here in the past & it's still climbing the charts for REI.

How do you vet an out of state turnkey company?

My wife and I have a very small nest egg set aside that is allocated for property aquisition, and that egg grows by the month, so we're not in any hurry. That said, like many other areas around the country, real estate prices are climbing and finding houses on the mls that meet our criteria seems to be going nowhere, which has me looking elsewhere.Looking through the bigger pockets marketplace, I see adds for a few turnkey companies, and have gone so far as to email a couple in hopes of talking with them this week.

Amazon HQ2 - REI Opportunity?

@Leslie Voegtlin , I will love to agree with you on a change in pricing in that particular neighborhood where Amazon would come, however, here is what is really going on:In West Loop, prices went up 20% over the rest of the city since Google has been announced to move in, and since McDonalds headquarters have started getting build in West Loop, West Loop has no inventory, all the new construction is priced at a million $ + and pricing continues to climb a lot faster than any other neighborhood in the city. You see, the prices and the rent have gone up because everyone that showed up to work for Google makes a good living and they want to live where they work, so the demand added to the already hot location, automatically increased the prices.

The real problem is all the rookies and those that bank on the market continuing to climb to make their spread, making it almost impossible for us full timers to make decent spreads on deals for our time and risk.

things haven't been 50/50 since the 50smen are required to bend their backs over for women. you sound like a much much older man and you should be thankful. just to get a date with an average looking female in 2017, you better be at least 6'3, ripped, look like a calvin klein male model, and have a net worth of at least $1 billion. dont even get me started on whatcha need to do to get a moderately attractive one. seems like ordinary men in the younger generation have to bend their backs 180 degrees, climb mount everest, and win an olympic triathalon just for the PRIVILEGE of MAYBE being able to say HELLO to the woman's GRANDMA Lol..

The broader market of U.S. single family homes escaped untouched, as the previous downturn in single families bottomed in the early 1990's and began a climb that soared through 2000 and finally ended in 2007.
