The "HGTV Effect" where everyone with zero relevant experience wants to be a flipper "as seen on tv" can cause a lot of industry insider eyes to glaze over, myself included from time to time, granted. 

If someone walks out with your TV or whatever, theres proof.

They are probably just watching some spooky TV show and getting freaked out.

There’s no TV in the private room.

I got fooled by Clayton Morris' TV personality and daily podcast of cashflow rental that he was promoting through Morris Invest.

The reason i wasn't particularly concerned is because my target area is a popular investor / small business owner area and you can see bandit signs on every street corner from wholesalers, lawn services, tv internet services, junk car removal services and others.

Heck for fifty years doctors went on TV saying cigarettes were safe.
