If they're especially suited to the house or have some sort of irreplaceable characteristic then there are paint additives that you can get (Floetrol, etc) that helps smooth brush strokes and make for easier application.

While employed use the 150K (split in half) and buy 2 SFR, TH or Duplex leverage (75K down stroke / leverage about 40-60%), then you have some cash flow. with a bank loan as rates are low and fixed.
