But with that comment I'm leaning over my skis, so I will defer to anyone with more experience dealing with this specific issue, including yourself.

We don't have oceans to gaze at or mountains to ski or forests to watch wildlife....we have theme parks. 

Many resorts hire seasonal staff that needs housing.All said, if you can acquire well, and your plan is appreciation, Tahoe is an awesome place where real estate is a limited resource.Consider snow removal. 

And can you make the set up stand out as an experience, resort style camping?

@Aaron Washington Depending on what community you are in, I know its not one of the big resorts if you only 4 beds, but do you have a clubhouse..does it have an arcade?

The interesting thing is when we drove around the area, the houses weren't in any particular "style" -- one looked to be like a classic large ski chalet, another was a different type.

NOT luxury/resort type properties or in vacation areas.
