I have a condo in Manhattan that I rent out. 

The property is located on Long Island, NY within walking distance to the LIRR & a 20 min train ride to Manhattan. 

I started off living/working in Los Angeles and buying STRs in the GB/PF area.

I have purchased two nice cabins in the PF/Gatlingburg area in the past two years.

My wife and I are interested in an investment STR cabin (probably around 4-5 bedrooms, but would consider fewer for the right deal) in the Gatlinburg/PF/Sevierville area. 

We will just be driving around most of the time anyway looking at adorable mountain cabins so anywhere from SV to GB to PF and surrounding.Thank you for reading my book.

My general perception is that "southern" Union City (e.g. south of, say, 15th St), and further west (closer to North Bergen) is less desirable, although the border between Jersey City and Union City is nice, and east towards Manhattan (on, say, Palisades Ave) is very desirable.

Gat/PF is definitely a happening area so if you're in the market for a STR, it's certainly a good place to start your search.
