You are not being sued solely because you are an officer of the company, you are being sued for something you did or caused to happen.Avoid this by managing the company, but outsourcing day to day management of the property to professional property managers.Just how I see it.

For investors (or investment companies) that outsource their property management (PM) functions and are also active in purchasing and selling real estate, I'm thinking one option is for the investor to purchase, either entirely or a percentage (e.g. 50%), a brokerage company.
