You said "I'm not sure what the Credit Card Builders business model was" and "I authorized someone else to use them [credit cards]"... so, you're saying you did business with a company that you did not understand and you authorized someone else to use your credit cards and "that person (the one who originally introduced me to Credit Card Builders) then ran up the debt" and you're blaming Credit Card Builders for the mis-use of those cards? 

YES, you will be held liable for any injuries caused by misuse or just ignorance...you are the "rich landlord" with deep pockets.

If it were me, I would stand my ground and tell her she is paying for the false report.Under my maintenance clause, I make it clear that the Tenant is responsible for any maintenance caused by their misuse, abuse, or neglect.

I have even seen posters on BP misuse the term.A true eviction is court-ordered. 

Also include a clause that if their use/misuse of the space causes an increase in your insurance costs they bear the full burden of that increase.John,If you have not spoken to your agent about the Commercial use of the property (Repair Business), I would suggest doing so,   Most Homeowners policies are not designed for a non-residential use.  

It depends on whether you have evidence they've misused or abused it.Sometimes devices fail on their own.

Misusing the word does not help people entering the game.
