yes, real, 3/4" hardwood. it's nailed down. not the crap that's glued or clicks. because hardwood does not bend, it eliminated imperfections much better.shingles fill the low spots/gaps and hardwood just lays on them before it's nailed down.

Minor imperfections might persist for many years without causing an issue.

Eggshell/ Less sheen you see imperfections less. 

One of the skills in this business is being able to discern among prospective tenants who all have imperfections.

Real life is hairy and imperfect. 

I’m looking for something that looks relatively “imperfect” and doesn’t look like it was written by a robot.I’m also looking for something that is relatively inexpensive but still effective.

Provide a great (even if sometimes imperfect) experience, and most guests will leave a great review. 14) By the same token, don’t be difficult with your guests!  

If it is drywall, have a pro skim coat the whole thing and throw a skip trowel texture on there to hide any imperfections.
