I am a property manager as well as a broker specializing in acquisitions out of Tampa FL. 

I have never done this before even though I am a licensed real estate managing broker however I don't feel confident enough.

A broker who can also deliver a reputable management company (themselves or an independent company) willing to take over management at closing is a real plus for any residential rental investment. 

@Puneet Mahi what about the required real estate brokers license to manage properties you do NOT own?

For intance I dont or didnt at the time own any MF I had a client contact me and I ended up brokering him a 100 unit apartment in Portland ..

Realtors have likely walked through and done a broker walk through.

If the property requires rehab, the Realtor and/ or Mortgage Broker will suggest applying, for a FHA 203k Loan.

Another broker on the team onboarded this client and transferred them to my portfolio due to capacity issues.I have since realigned expectations with this client and addressed all of their concerns.

In fact, there may be other home service opportunities with quicker growth potential worth considering.Additionally, be aware that in Texas you’ll need a broker’s license, not just a real estate license, to operate a property management business.
