We've had this done on brick fireplaces, it looks great and the cost was minimal.

I know some of the newer ones are bi-level or super-expensive condo style, but mine was more of an artist loft. the people upstairs had a nice fancy place with exposed brick inside and a fireplace and they paid more for it. mine was simple, white, clean, and very artist-oriented with separate rooms and windows in between the rooms like little art showrooms.

What is the material you used on the fireplace?

@Roy N.If you mean the dark mark on the left side of the exterior shot, I believe that is a fireplace on a different property.

It was build in 1977 and still had the original wood burning fireplace.

New roof, working fireplace (downstairs unit), hardwood floors in the downstairs unit and basement (no washer/dryer though).

We had  a fireplace and stove that we did this with and it was a small part difference but we had no natural gas so it was permanent.
