For a quick flip and low cost I would replace the window, paint the garage door, put up some nice carriage lamps on either side of the door, plant bushes from the garage to the front porch and upgrade the interior of the garage.

We installed Ikea cabinets in our carriage house, which will be a rental when we move out of it. 

Put some expensive looking carriage lights on the garage as well as a motion detector light.

The home has a detached garage in back and is zoned for a possible ADU/carriage house.

The only people who lost business were those in the horse carriage business that refused to adapt to the new changes.

There are some gems of antiques here.Above the attic is a Belvedere which gives a panoramic of the city - at the time the house was built the owner would have been able to observe both the dockyard and his cotton mill from here.There is also a 3-story carriage house (800 ft^2 / floor) on the property which could be turned into a triplex - once you got all of the old tac and antique furniture out of it.I could get this house - which is still in the tony part of town - and its contents for an amazing price - but what would you do with it?  

Could add a carriage house or accessary detached dwelling for 80-100k.

Time for a historical perspective if you had bought about 3 years ago, 4plex located at Carriage Park Villas.

I agree looking for the house first is a common rookie mistake, it's putting the horse before the carriage.
