What's the deal with airline peanuts?

Even before the pandemic, ether was a secular uptrend in international travel in full swing, supported by the rising middle class wealth around the world, the discount airlines and the availability of short-term rentals.

We have oil and gas, banking, tech, telecoms, call centers, restaurants, two airlines, big airport, probably some ag, GM car plant, logistics, and probably a few other industries I don't know about.This time around if we have a problem I think it will be in the 750,000-$1,000,000 or so price range. 

Like United Airlines Holdings (UAL) and Hilton Worldwide Holdings (HLT) right? 

If that benefits our economy as expected, rates will certainly rise. 2021 Will Be a Bumpy Ride for Airlines.

I'm sure the major airlines would also enter the market with regional jets. 

I hate to be a downer and maybe you will have a different experience..I practiced for 10 years and now work 15 days a month in the airline business..

You look at the stock price of Google and Amazon and Tesla and say, those are too high, but in 10 years will you be happier you bought those or would you be happier you bought General Cinemas or American Airlines? 

what if you're driving - would the equivalent to the airline tickets be gas or some kind of mileage fee?
