If she was a responsible adult and had a job it would be different but she prefers to live off her husband.

Tell them you intend to run a credit and background check, and tell them what it costs per adult applicant.

If you have cash flow in a market where employment is concentrated in a few industries (such as automotive, entertainment, tourism, etc) then the cash flow is at greater risk that more robust economies.
