Here we still have a big housing shortage but then again you are in CA!  

I anticipate that we will continue to experience housing shortages in 20 years due to population growth.Ultimately, anyone who buys multifamily today and holds on will experience a great deal of generational wealth. 

You're paying for your agent's connections, their negotiating skills, and their local knowledge and experience.I would start with telling your agent what your investment goals or strategies are, and how they've helped others achieve that goal. 

You have to change the way think and know you are chasing time freedom.To get time freedom, you use all of your skills and assets, but you don't scale too quickly.

in addition on the west coast we just don't really have zombie or boarded up houses.. at least not like other areas of the country we have a shortage of actual housing units.

I have two friends who own rental properties and they are successful with their properties, I read Rich Dad Poor Dad twice along with Rental Property Investing and Power of Habit, I've been told by multiple people apart of the Baby Boomer and Generation X that they wish they invested in Real Estate at my age, I was a Resident Advisor at my University and I enjoyed that role so some of the skills are transferrable, and lastly this is the best time for me to take a risk.
