We purchase expensive programs for the plat maps and they can type in the PIN (if you have it) and print out a bird's eye view of the property, if you will.

As @Mindy Jensen said, they're probably looking for bird dogs to go knocking on doors and finding motivated sellers.

You can find vacant homes by driving around town, hiring a bird dog, getting a Investor friendly real estate agent, talk to the mail man, tax collectors office, zoning office, you can even try call utility companies.
