Thinking about moving to the greater Denver area

(I say single, because -- to be blunt -- sometimes female loved ones aren't always psyched to live with four strangers for obvious reasons.)You could also buy a duplex or a home with a basement unit and short-term rent (or Airbnb) that space, which can bring in good cash flow and give you some privacy that taking on roommates can't always do.

DUPLEX or BACK APARTMENT
18 November 2022 | 4 replies
Most people would rather live in a detached unit of a multifamily than an attached unit...I currently live in one of my multifamily properties that has a shared wall which is perfectly fine with me but currently looking for the next place and ideally it would be detached units for more privacy...Duplexes generally tend to be smaller here in San Diego (2 bed/ 1 bath units are most common) and those with families and kids tend to want atleast a 3bed/2bath which maxes a single family home with an Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) more attractive.

There are plenty of people who won't/can't/don't want to live in an apartment/condo building so a detached unit /ADU should be a great long-term play because people will pay more for that privacy.

house hacking with 3 kids?
12 January 2020 | 18 replies
It was a sacrifice for both of us but it was especially hard on my loving wife because of expectations of privacy and frankly, getting adjusted to our trajectory in life (which I think has been a very good one since we got engaged).I do have some strong opinions on the matter. For many people, delayed gratification is a concept that needs to be discussed and acted on.

Millennials aren't buying homes - good or bad?

However you look at it, I like do invest in houses and make them something nice that someone can live in and enjoy their yard and privacy, and not have the stress of the weed smoke coming through the ducts, or the stomping guy on top of them or the dangerous dogs that every walks around the complexes.
