This is already precipitating a shortage of building materials - lumber and wood products, gypsum and drywall, sheathing, house wrap, ... everything that goes into new construction to replace the homes destroyed in the storms and floods.

I flip houses with my own crews and we get windows from Home Depot, 84 lumber or alside and we are always less than $200 a window for standard sized double hung.
