@Lee Goree this type of stuff reminds me of a crazy associate of mine that decided he was going to get into commodities.. and he was going to trade jet fuel or remember the Africa gold craze he did both..He spent days and weeks and months talking to people all over the world about selling Jet fuel..from his basement in Beaverton Oregon..

Could be a small line surge passing through a faulty limit or curcit switch........Even if there were an electrical surge that caused a spark from the ignitor, the gas supply knob still has to be rotated to supply gas to fuel the burners.
