I tried to get the woman at the city to give us the dumpsters, but they still charged us.

So if you really want to gain control of the property and solve this woman's problems, you could buy her 2008 note, negotiate with the subsequent borrowers, and the underlying.

Realize that starting out there hasn't been time to build reserves so like they say "a man (or woman) has to do what they have to do."

As we are driving to the house to look at it I asked him how he found it,  he hesitated then said a woman he was talking to the night before told him about it.

In addition I would talk to contractors, appraisers, title companies, estate lawyers, mailmen/ mail-woman, etc.
