As someone who started out in out of state passive REI in 2012, I can tell you that turnkey investing can be relatively passive, but you have to make sure that the team you pick to work with his truly reliable and trustworthy. 

Contractors are either booked out for the year, or they are expensive, or the worst, not trust worthy.

In general with trustworthy people in the right places it is a great Business model.

It might be a trustworthy stat, but it likely is not relevant to the question or you need much more information to know if it is relevant.Sooooo few people have a clue how to interpret statistics.

Turnkey does take some work though especially finding trustworthy provider whom you feel comfortable working with.
