Unfortunately, we have seen a lot of redevelopment money, redirected and not being used for their original allocation purposes, being that we are the State's capital Sacramento sometimes suffers when there are shortages and investing in future expectations could be costly.However, this is just my pennies worth, (I wouldn't even call my two cents) but make sure you do your due diligence before you invest and know that a lot of us local investors that are trying to stay on top of the curve are looking at the same areas you are looking at, you just need to be careful how you invest in those areas.

Not sure how big it is where you are but here there is a shortage of space. 

The city seems to be prioritizing anything near public transit for higher density due to the housing shortage. 

Up until Covid and the lumber shortage, builders have been able to add new homes to help meet the demand. 

Right now, they are anti-STR because they have such a shortage in affordable housing for long term tenants.

The college has a real housing shortage problem with all the new freshman coming to the school.

What Wilmington did was over reaching-good for a few people with permits but also created a house shortage.

The housing demand is only going to increase, and we are currently in a shortage.

There never is a shortage of people telling you to "go for it" on the internet.

I was also thinking that this will further exacerbate the housing shortage problem.
