They were originally finished with a rubbed-in wax finish and never refinished afterwards.Oak, in my not-at-all humble opinion, is a near-ideal residential flooring choice in framed residential structures.

Being an Attorney is a completely different ball of wax.

For example, you can light candles to make it smell good, put towels on the racks in the bathroom, or put a vase of flowers in the kitchen. 

They have another option to shower/use bathroom, without a candle or flashlight?

There is nothing wrong with working with these platforms, as long as people are aware of these real risks, and not deceived by charlatans waxing accolades on their personal blogs!
