This is where making sure doing your due diligence on the broker/lender's reputation truly matters.

They have a good reputation from what I've seen but does anybody have a long-term track record with them in Memphis or Little Rock.

If you ditch the agent and don’t pay the commission you may end up with a bad reputation if you plan to keep buying in this area.

I took out a 12-month hard money loan with HouseMax Funding, a reputable lender, for a fix-and-flip project.

Generally in this day and age its pretty easy to do quick due diligence (google, website, reviews, etc) to determine if a lender is reputable or not.Also - noting look straight from the NewFi websitehttps://newfi.com/dscr-loans/something is definitely off here if you were told you got a DSCR Loan and were required to provide tax returns to "qualify" - someone is not telling you the 100% truth which is certainly a flag to me. 

I would like to find a good reputable contractor that gets in, and does the job [until complete]. 

There are a few reputable companies around the country, some of which are here on BP, with solid long-term reputations.
