Most are folks that have the emotional control of a 5 year old, controlling attitude, an omniscient narrative in every thread & topic, act like an online hall monitor, and constant attention seeking.

I am managing remotely so I am not much different than Evolve, so I don't feel I can justify 25% like a local operator would, but I do care a whole lot more! 

The regulations provide both insight and ambiguity.25% or more owner of the entity; OROne who exhibits significant control over the entity.

So far the concerns I have discovered would be things like control of collateral, maintenance requirements/margin calls, and various fees that may be charged on quarterly or annual basis.

@Justin Goodrich I can speak for a lot of investors and say our biggest problems are out of our control.

However, if you bought it and managed it as a market rate apartment, your experience would be very different.My point is, I can control how fast a unit turns simply by adjusting my asking rents.  

Take back your control of the property; the tenant doesn't get to dictate terms.

And Sec8 sounds great, but comes with it's own issues.Add it all up you get a low dollar, but high headache strategy, which is a challenge that gets amplified, especially when you are operating remote.
