Can take up $90k to remediate for the average 3 bedroom home.Make sure there is no Chinese Drywall as it's not good for your health...

Saved my brother in law a potential mold disaster that he used to get remediation done. 

I was wondering if anyone who has done this can tell me if after comparing price per sqft of the building aspect of the project only (cost of land, environmental remediation, and demo excluded) they have found modulars to be a more cost effective way to go rather than stick built.

Do I have any remedy other than to continue to pay the mortgage until the house is sold.

@Sarah BuchananDepending on how bad the flood was and construction of basement I'd be extra cautious on how the remediation was carried out of moving forward.

These are such small items to remedy.

Most cities have a remediation program that offers assistance/funding.

I also have a lawyer as an advisor that I may occasionally sit down with and pay $100 consults from time to time to ask legal questions the first meeting with this individual  is this coming Monday.Currently, I feel the situation is much better  with the tenants the  situation  that is going in  is crappy for both of us with water coming into the house but I am constantly working on remediation of the situation.

There’s bound to be issues once you start working on it and those issues would have to be remedied.

You will need to hire a remediation company and during the remodel you will remove everything that is contaminated.
