I am wondering if there is any way to reconstruct the house to allow it to be a traditional single family home.

It appears to be quite expensive to take down and reconstruct, so before we commit to that, I wanted to see what all utilities are being utilized by the chimney- does anyone have any advice for doing this, and/or any recommendations of experts (Cincinnati local) that may be able to assist in figuring out the problem? 

These puzzle pieces were reconstructed before our eyes in one day by a four-man crew and small crane to form a complete tiny house.

The law states real property trade or business means any real property development, redevelopment, construction, reconstruction, acquisition, conversion, rental, operation, management, leasing or brokerage trade or business.I'm not sure where the shooting of properties falls into this (maybe conversion?) 

My father, Richard Stoler (a realtor with Key Realtors) was really great and has 30-40 years of detailed hands on knowledge of historic reconstruction.

(Through this extensive renovation, I will meet the IRS guidelines for REP [>51% time, 500 hours and 750 hours, etc]).I was told by my tax preparer that the property must be rented in order for hours to count towards REP; however I'm seeing the following paragraph in the IRS guidelines:"A real property trade or business is any real property development, redevelopment, construction, reconstruction, acquisition, conversion, rental, operation, management, leasing, or brokerage trade or business (Sec. 469(c)(7)(C)).

So the sand that dogged us so badly during trash out probably saved us in the reconstruction phase.
