Hey Ali, marketing the property yourself could be a smart move.

My current options: rent out the current 4 bed 2 bath house that I own and live in so I could move into the 300k house and remodel while I live in it.

I don’t mind helping out however I can in exchange for the opportunity to learn.I recently moved to Houston and would love to connect with local investors.

@Chris Lo if you are considering renting out your current home and moving my biggest suggestion would be to consider an owner occupant 4 unit loan. 

Move out on or before (lease termination date).
