And they're somewhat state specific because of certain statutes, such as CO detector requirements, lead paint disclosures, maximum time security deposit can be held, etc.

Interesting, just last month at my place of business SCE came in and updated all of our florescent bulbs, ballasts and installed motion activated switches through out the building.

The tenant didn't call him because they didn't want to pay $50.I've found that some of these people are so lazy they have three lightbulbs in the whole house and the smoke detectors are chirping.

yeah I thought it was 'shocking'my run in was - because of the extent of the rehab I had to get a yet another permit 'to install required smoke/co2 detectors throughout'.- inspector recommended a lic elect (first red flag)- young lic elect shows up & didn't seem to know much about inter connected smoke CO detectors &/or just lacked interest ???

I spoke to the city and before the closing I will need to have a licensed contractor send a bid to the city to be approved on all of the problems found on the city inspection report, which includes a bid on everything from putting in a smoke detector to cleaning out a gutter.

When you start redoing they start doing things like hardwired smoke detectors in all bedrooms or egress sized windows in all bedrooms (may not be the best examples but gives you an idea).
