It has 3 bedrooms but the master bath is really small and not a large closet.Would you recommend taking the 2 small bedrooms and enlarging the bath and closet making it a 2 bedroom 2 bath condo.Would very much appreciate any advise on this subject.

Of course not to say this is the deal breaker, but rough math tells me that with ourselves living in, it probably won't cashflow well with big chunk of rent going to mortgage payment.So I started to enlarge the span a bit and visited some properties in Truro since I heard it's the 'Hub'.

If you enlarge the area to include Central America as many do, I'd consider Mexico (full disclosure: I own property and now develop there) and Panama as well, which have even less grid, road and supply chain issues than the Dominican Republic.
