Then you can read a more in-depth book like The Book On Rental Property Investing by Brandon Turner or The Unofficial Guide to Real Estate Investing by Spencer Strauss.2.

Done and done.If you realize that those above topics are pretty much everything about Self Storage AND you learn those three (precursory will work, in-depth is better), you've got all your bases covered.  

To find places with high rental demand, good economic circumstances, and room to develop, conduct in-depth market research.Examine your alternatives for financing, including conventional mortgages, private lenders, FHA, VA, and partnership loans.
