Its just sad that pretty much the only compromise the anti-STR ppl want is an out-right ban on STRs and wont listen to any other reasoning. 

I could go on... it has been time to step away from the party lines and see that they are using this to keep you locked in identity politics. the current cabinet politics are anti american, anti middle class. they simply high jacked the democrat party and hiding in its shell within which they are fully evolving as a fascist dictatorship tyranny.  

In other words, there are a lot of factors, but anti-landlord rhetoric and legislation is almost certainly a part of it.

Rapid rehousing is that you take the person who is STILL so anti-social that there is not a human on this earth who will let them sleep on their floor to keep them off the streets...and put them in the house you own.

Just a side note, some states (among them, California where I live) have very aggressive anti-discrimination laws for landlords and include things like physical appearance, familial status, and if they have children under 18.
