If the flip takes longer than a year, it's still considered a flip by the IRS, not a rental property, so the length of time doesn’t change the tax treatment.

So, the solution to the problem is built into the system.  

So another solution is to save up for another deal with your cashflow + savings, and pull money out when/if the interest rate gets lower?

At that point, it's worth researching and finding a solution that better meets your needs.

Referencing another recent post, there's not a great software solution that I am aware of for on-boarding a new MTR resident.If you aren't already, I would make sure you disclose to a potential resident any relevant issues that are endemic to a unit as early as possible.
