The tourism in Portland is on the rise and unless every brewery and restaurant closes, it’s the new norm. 

If you were to market, I'd choose a peripheral market that will still have a tourism draw (Ocean City, Brigantine, Avalon, etc).

It's becoming very well known for gastronomic tourism, as well as a few very major arts projects (The State Theater and the Library of Congress' Film Archive).

Remember in the expense category to include sales tax, tourism tax, business licenses, etc.

I know that that if you wanted to work, you are pretty much limited to the tourism industry and stuff like that.

We also  broke some records for tourism visits, etc. 

Personally, I tend to think that we have enough other fundamentals going for us in this region (wine, tourism, proximity to bay area...) that it won't have a huge effect, but I'm curious what others think.

In Orlando, it's the land of tourism so near the craziness of the parks, most of the HOAs are pretty lenient.  

I am interested in green building design and eco tourism as well as learning the ins and outs of the RE investment business.

If it doesn't snow, Wisconsin tourism dries up in the winter very quickly.
