We're almost at net zero with the five boroughs, though, at 420 emigrants vs. 401 immigrants. 

From what I understand, there was a lot of unscrupulous L/O practice occuirng in the valley (deep south Texas) and a lot of first generation immigrants were getting taken to the cleaners and loosing the shirts off their backs from predatory L/O operator practices.

While I do serve in some ways in my present situation my limited time (due to working full-time) and resources (due to raising 6 kids and being the sole breadwinner in our home) make it difficult to serve in ways that I would like to be able to.With that in mind I am getting into REI as a way to eventually free up more time that could be used to minister to others and build up they kinds of financial resources to provide for my family, minister to others directly, and financially support other ministries.

I grew up with an immigrant mother who basically lived by that book.  

When I applied for LLC here in Georgia, they didn't ask about my immigration status at all.

I got my last guy from the local (small) church.I talked to the minister one morning and told him what I was looking for and he introduced me to Claudio. 

We always have a strong demand for affordable homes here, given our immigrant population.

If there is a strong community leader, such as a minister or political leader, getting them involved may help as well.
