However many of them look like what you get at a hotel.

If you’re running a hotel you should be paying hotel taxes. 2.7% is probably 1/4th of what hotels pay?

We are both in property management and aspire to 1031, exchange our way to owning small apartment complexes and eventually small hotels, like a Courtyard by Marriott or something on that level.

From oceanfront vacation rentals to multi family complexes to RV Parks, boutique hotels or storage and industrial facilities, Oregon real estate investment opportunities come in spades.

I won't be investing in the riskiest/most supportable asset subclasses such as hotels, and tilt my portfolio the ones that have historically been more stable such as multifamily and single-family housing.

Think of it more as being an owner-operator of a small hotel if anything, it's much more of a hands-on business.

My AC has gone on and off for the past week.We are checking on it daily and additional fixes are required.It will probably take additional couple of days to fix it as it has been trial and error.We are keeping the tenant in a loop but she has gone crazy.She has actually been a huge complainer and her demands id that everything is fixed right away.She has mistaken us for hotel service staff because she thinks she is at Ritz Carlton and we are her bus boys. 

It's competitive out there, particularly in the condo space where you compete more directly with hotels.
