Went to school in San Diego (Go Toreros), where I played basketball and got my first introduction to REI.

WE had 2 other offers from Basketball players here in Oregon and this guy really wanted it . 

Also, being a former division 1 athlete and having played professional basketball in Germany for 2 years, I am a huge sports fan (partial to basketball and football)!  

Now...if being over 6' tall is a key component of successfully performing a job...like being an NBA basketball player...than this type of "discrimination" is okay.Religion is another protected class in terms of hiring.
