Can you imagine taking a couple days off work, looking for a new place, paying for new applications, putting down deposits, renting a moving truck, finding friends to help you move, paying to clean your old place, and so on to “Save” $300/yr? 

You'd be amazed at what a toy truck can do.

It's the equivalent of the guy with the expensive car and big house acting rich vs. the actual rich guy that lives in a modest house, drives an old truck, and buys his clothes at Costco.

Took a while for us to get the Cement Pump truck to come pour (month). 

We see it all the time with the conversations on what cars/vehicles folks drive :) here in BP there is a badge of honor to drive a 20 year old 250k mile car/truck :) Myself I saw my dad do some of this although he never got to the utra wealthy stage by a long shot but made good money in RE however it was not until he bought old style timeshare in Maui that he would finally take a vacation..

Then i decided to move to semi truck driving and now i'm making 1k a week take home.

Ask local materials distributors which contractors pay their billing on time, and who order materials consistently.Go to some local REI meetups and ask for referrals.Look at local jobsite and take note of truck signage.Of course verify their licensing, here's a link https://lni.wa.gov/licensing-permits/contractors/hiring-a-co...

Also have easements for fire truck turn around.
