This wiring can be identified most often with a black woven cloth insulated sheathing and is run and secured using modern methods of staples and freely passing through the framing in drilled holes (no tube insulators).The major problem with this wiring was that this woven sheathing deteriorated really fast and the wire was often more brittle than its predecessor.

One on top of each other and the outer layer is thick plastic sheeting stapled,- There's exposed wall from the back room to the garage,- Low hanging ceiling fans that are head height and drooping,- Small side room has no wall to the hallway.
