In the next few years I may be moving back to Pittsburgh so this could be an option for me in the future.I did complete the backyard rehab project myself, where I went from a weed-ridden red cobblestone courtyard patio to a comfortable pea gravel patio with chairs, firepit, grill, string lights and life-sized games.

Things like septic pumps burning out, steam room dying, guests catching the grill on fire and leaving burn marks on the hardi siding, emergency bug treatment, above ground pool which is ridiculously hard to manage in our heat & having no time to deal with it if it starts to go, laundry & drying time for all the towels and linens, etc, etc.There are plenty of things we can and will get better at, but I'm prioritizing the stress level of my people as well as the very near disasters we've narrowly avoided, over the little bit of extra revenue we'd generate.

There is a high cost to renovating a non-restaurant space into a kitchen, especially if you need everything like grills, hood vents, walk-in coolers and grease traps in floors, not to mention the utilities to service all of the above.

That's about $100 just to grill. add to that, no one grills enough to use the whole propane tank.
