naive and non native speakers can be talked into it simply because they dont know any better.

Hey Leslie,I am an Atlanta native who has been buying, rehabbing and managing MTRs for the last 4 years with my wife.

I have bought a few houses after reading the foreclosure notices in the legal section of the newspaper but mostly I find opportunities by just talking to people.

Also make sure he/she is a native Spanish speaker or at least very fluent since the agreements and legal documents are always in Spanish, some are translated as a courtesy but the Spanish versión always prevails.

So I contacted an attorney who said we can do a quiet title but since there are so many people geographically displaced I'd have to post about it in the national newspaper and all in all the cost would be roughly $40,000 just to get marketable title.

I am a native of Omaha, with home-base now in Louisiana, but currently working in Saudi on contract.  

Also check local news papers TV for large companies moving to the area.
