It's a great market for LTR due to Camp LeJune (marine base) being here & the attraction of coastal living.

I joined a mentor group earlier this summer also to help accelerate the process.A little about me...I joined the Marines out of high school and served for one enlistment.

Its like an ecosystem, meaning anyone I need to do a deal, is here in the community (title people, attorneys, brokers, accountants, private money, hard money, etc) The affiliate program is optional.

To me, these are no different than college degrees (and some cost as much or more): you wouldn't major in engineering if you wanted to be a marine biologist.  

For example, Brandon Diaz our instructor showed us a picture he said was in one of the issues of Time Magazine when he was a Marine in Baghdad.

Keep in mind that US cities are more dangerous that taking a vacation in the Riviera Maya.In my mind, the biggest risk to tourism in the region would be ecosystem collapse.

Syndications and funds are a great, truly passive real estate investments that can marinate while you are still over there.I wonder if you've thought about investing where you are now and using real estate as a bridge to potential dual citizenship there.
