The purchaser or his or her transferee and his or her tenants shall have the right to harvest and gather the crops grown by them on the place for the year in which the redemption is made, but must pay a reasonable rent for the lands for the proportion of the current year to which such redemptioner may be entitled.

That makes sense Jake, about every product out there including cheerios does this type of review harvesting.  ;(  I can only say I'm a long time reireply user, in its simplest mode.

I agree with @Jaron Walling, you have an opportunity to sell and harvest a profit and avoid paying tax on that profit because it was your primary residence.

Harvest that equity that is doing absolutely nothing for you.
