Sounds like a million loud bangs.You might want to think about having it mounted over plywood with something between the plywood and the metal to cut the noise.

However, I find the real value in the longer term appreciation that shows up in 5-10 years of the daily grind of rental properties.

As for insurance and all that, most of what you're hearing is media noise and really not accurate/blown out of proportion. 

Imagine someone harassing your girlfriend, damaging your property, using or selling illicit drugs, dog biting you or your other tenants and creating a flea or noise issue, or any number of other potential issues.

Keep grinding; the right deal will come.
